After production companies finally severed the time loop that kept bringing Kyle Reese Back from the Future, he moved to New York to become an apartment superintendent so he could follow his dream of hording old mattresses and water cooler jugs. When some carefully placed dirty bombs from Koreatnamistan turn the big apple into a blown up apple surrounded by poison (how's that for an analogy?), a group of tenants take refuge with Kyle, only to find out that, SUPPLIES!, NYC is full of psychos.

I wanted to like this, I really did, but it's hard to enjoy something when THERE IS NOT A SINGLE RATIONAL THOUGHT in the entire movie. I guess I'll add that it would have been nice to cut out the entire part about the random military dudes busting in, taking a little girl, sealing their apartment (again) and then nothing ever happening with them. Pointless, pointless, pointless.

find the rare post-apocalyptic film that fully commits to the crumbling of civilisation and subsequent depravity, and naturally audiences will pine for more harmless, stagy shit like 'the road' so they can sleep at night. this is the rare horror that benefits from its clearly delineated genre trappings, failing to pull punches in places you're conditioned to expect it. its descent into madness is batshit and uncompromising and quite convincingly horrible. there's a purity to its ugliness.

I enjoyed it. Like others have said there is some great imagery and, depressing as it may be, everything seems to work the way the pessimist in me figures it would.

I enjoyed 'The Divide' but felt it would have benefited from more answers and less chaos toward the end. German and Biehn were excellent.

Once the mutiny happened, my interest quickly waned. Contains some nice imagery, though.

The movie follows a group of pieces of shit characters become more shitty and the hero of the film turns out to be the biggest piece of shit of them all.

Excellent acting however the storyline went down the toilet from halfway onwards till the end. God forbids if anyone has to go through such a hellhole situation.

Top badass moment? A group of nuclear attack survivors find shelter in the world's best stocked basement. Seriously, it had more supplies than my local Tesco. Unfortunately it's run by Kyle 'Why Won't Anyone Sell Me Any Life Insurance' Reece. I loved this film, especially its ending; it fits my worldview. It starts off pretty generic but then gets better. And be honest, who hasn't at some point wanted to cut up and then flush a body down a toilet? Oh, okay. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

This movie was very frustrating to watch. The character decisions were unrealistic far beyond suspension of disbelief. Every major decision was more stupid than the last. The judgment was so bad it could be explained only by bad writing, bad directing, and or bad improv. It also didn't need to be longer than 1.5 hours. I wanted to like it and would have. The acting was great by all, especially Biehn. But the character flaws were unforgivable. What Eva did to Mickey at the end was unforgivable.

Shit on a shit sandwich? This is what inane social justice/ muh human nature types actually believe? All this in an incredibly boring movie. Hazmat suits looked nice though.

The moral of the story is that you don't introduce baffling and intriguing side plots and leave them abandoned, but what it does explore was done acceptably.

Potently paced, though the ambiguity of the movie robs certain elements from the film, such as the hazmat people that enter the storm shelter. I understand that the focus of the movie is supposed to be on the survivors and how their learned societal behaviors break down in extreme situations, but the added elements to progress the plot left more questions that distracted from the focus of the feature. As well, some character development (such as for Mickey) was created and never followed up on.

I find the whole concept so over-done and this film is not bringing much novelty to the table. However, a thumb up for how the whole idea of depravation and alteration of the characters' humanity was dressed up, plot wise & imagery wise. But for cryin' out loud, name her Eva? Seriously?

Quite similar in tone to the original "Night of the Living Dead" in the sense of regular people being put in extraordinary circumstances, with some losing, and some desperately clinging to their humanity. Aside from the French ending, and almost going off the rails for 20 minutes or so, a solid entry in the apocalypse genre.

Would have been a lot better with properly developed characters and more subtlety. Now it's a rather ridiculous descent into madness for a group of people stuck in an uncomfortable place, making the whole thing rather unpleasant to watch. The plot thread that comes out of nowhere and is never even getting close to resolved just reeked of a lazy way to add some variety. Michael Biehn is hilariously gritty though, and almost makes the whole thing worth sitting through.

Definitely a feel-bad-movie. It's one of those movies rhat explore people's dark sides in extreme situations. Sometimes disgustingly so, mostly because I think a lot of people can just turn into monsters given the "right" circumstances. Worth a watch.

Quite shocking, not for the squeemish. I enjoyed it because it evoked strong emotions, with its filthy amoral portrayals. I also enjoyed the minimal work as far as setting goes. A lot of bitter acting in a tense environment. This movie disturbed my girlfriend.

I was pleasantly surprised. One of the better post-apocalyptic movies out there. Yes, there are some questions to be answered, but I didn't care. That's what happens when shit hits the fan. There doesn't always have to be a hollywood answer for everything. The degeneration of the group dynamics was quite a show, what would YOU do? Great watch.

Nice beginning (before titles) and okay ending, but the film itself was pointless, no sense of rhythm, no proper characterizing, and the whole thing was just a collection of episodic scenes. Michael Biehn and Lauren German were acting okay.
