Jack Holt was one of those old tough guys from the silent days that still managed to have a strong career in the sound era though not having much of a following today. Meaning for modern audiences this movie's main attraction is it's leading lady Jean Arthur. She takes a job in the crooked lawyer's office and tries to change morals from within. The whole thing is a bit simplified, but has it's cute moments with hardman Holt becoming a softy from Arthur's touch.
