The Day

The good: the concept. The bad: the editing. The ugly: the gore effects. I dunno. I laughed, I cheered, I yelled "AS IF!" Good times overall.

Why yes I'd like a dash of nihilism with my post-apocalyptic entertainment, thank you very much. The second half can't sustain the tension and atmosphere of the first, but it's decent 'dudes killing the shit out of dudes' stuff if you're up for that kind of thing. I especially liked the limited lighting and how dark the scenes during the day were. Erm, I mean, during The Day.

The Day--a Post-apocalyptic action thriller with lots of hungry, dirty people killing lots of other hungry, dirty people using such post-apocalyptic weaponry as machetes, pointy sticks, and limited rounds of ammo. You had me at 'The'.

A post-apocalyptic action/suspense movie. I enjoyed it.

Decent acting for a b movie, but ruined by terrible character decisions, bad dialogue, and bad directing/editing.

Only scored it so well because of the last scene! Got me good!

Sets up a grim 'n' near black-and-white THE ROAD style survial story then goes all zombie-stoopid PRECINCT 13 siege/battle. There are couple of fun little subversions though so leaving it open for sequels made a kind of sense.

This is a pretty good movie brought down by unappealing characters. The characters were inconsistent changing from stand offish and cold to caring or being a super badass and then in the next scene not being able to do much. Like I said not bad but with a good script and decent actors it could've been so much better, like the similar but much better "Stake Land".

It really isn't that good. The characters except for one are really unlikeable. In fact, by the end of the movie, I was just hoping they would die already. The camera work is terrible; it looks like someones kid was in charge of the shots. The redeeming factors could be the gore and the one sort of bad ass chick, but other than, lameness.

This movie is not only bad, it is deceptive in its advertisements as well, which pisses me off a bit more.

No back story and the little girl running like flash lowers the score of pretty good movie.

Interesting premise but would have been much better if the enemy were zombies or something similar, not straight up vampires. The look itself was very cool, shot in a cool style. Action was kind of average and bland.

Way too dark to see what was happening during the night time scenes plus quick cuts during fighting = me being removed from the film.

I don't know why this is labeled Sci-fi and Suspense/Thriller. There is no point in this movie, just some people running around and fighting. Utter garbage. Don't waste your time on this piece of crap.
