Simple stuff. Briskly paced, loud, colourful and very standard, but not at all unpleasant.

A New Age makes me question why I enjoyed The Croods as much as I did (rated 73 though I don't recall it in detail). Perhaps too much time elapsed between the films, or simply it just wasn't very good. The animation & voice acting are good, though Reynolds' voice is now too familiar. The story, however, involves too many contemporary references that bleed into the themes. Poking fun at teenage romance, Californian hipsters & cheering on modern gender stereotypes all make for an uninspired film.

While definitely a step down from the first film this still manages to have a lot of charm and energy. The voice cast is great as is the soundtrack. The jokes have more misses than hits but they come so fast and furious that it hardly seems to matter.

Good animation, and there was that one good boomer-esque gag about teens and TV. There was some really great man-on-man dynamics as well as woman-on-woman dynamics, but the humor mainly didn't land with me. This movie excelled more on drama (which, ofc, in a kid's movie is paper thin).

İlk filmden iyiydi. Croods ailesi, Guy ile tanışıp Yarın'ı aramaya devam eder. Bu arada, baba Croods güzel 1 yaşam yeri bulur. Fakat içinde marjinal 1 aile çıkar. Aile konusunu anlatan film, karşıt görüşlerinde birbirine yardımcı olacağını anlatmış. Ama o bildiğimiz film klişelerine tekrar başvurmasa. Gene de iyi kıvırdı. Filmin sonunda, Dev Goril. Peruğumu ye.

I think these are fun movies, but honestly, they're just not as memorable as most animated movies I've watched recently. All the voice talent is great, it's just that the story is fairly uninteresting overall, despite some laughs. Funnily enough, I actually felt more chemistry between Eep and Dawn, than between Eep and Guy, although part of that may be down to me forgetting just about anything from the first movie.

The Croods 2nd installment: A New Age. Really sweet & funny movie that I watched with my family. We all loved Dawn & her friendship with Eep! Coming from someone who entirely loved first movie I still very much enjoyed this second one. The movie was quite whacky, with some really strange moments, but it also had consistent clever dialogue & I really enjoyed The different take on the relationship between Eep and Dawn. Obviously, I loved the thunder sister scenes.

Seen: 2. A very worthy sequel with surprises and consistent humor. It is the rare sequel that makes me appreciate the first one even more.

There is a lot of humor and I laughed several times. Many of the little details were quite funny. However, the action near the end got quite ridiculous and was not particularly satisfying. They pushed a few gags a bit too far and the monster showdown animation at the end was just awful. It has many funny and endearing moments, so it's worthwhile.

Almost as bad and unfunny as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

This gets into Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs territory in terms of the zany level of its humor, and though it's not as funny as either Meatball movie, this had more laughs than I was expecting. That said, the story and character dynamics are tiresomely rote and the film flags whenever it has to redirect its energy from comedy to, well, the actual story. Still, while this never soars, it's more fun than a belated sequel to a lousy original ought to be.

the plot was kind of predictable, it's the kind of thing you expect of a sequel in a movie about family and whatnot. The first one was definitively more special. There was some alright humour though, it's probably mostly what redeems a lot. It's the Dreamworks' recipe of characters not taking themselves seriously, and of not being afraid of toonish violence and speedy slapstick humour. I think kids would like the movie.

I thought it was good, maybe even pretty good. I liked the story, the visuals are pretty amazing and so is the animation -of course-, and it has great voice acting too! But the two things I didn't like was that the humor feels a bit weird and forced at times, and this also happens with the chemistry of the characters. But overrall, I think its a good movie
