The Crimson Rivers

This was supposed to be the best thing Vincent Cassel would ever be in, but then he married Monica Bellucci, if you get what I'm hinting at.

I was certainly not expecting a full-blown martial arts fight scene with Vincent Cassel, but hey, it actually kind of worked. Cassel really flings himself into the physicality of the role and delivers a memorable performance from a pretty stock character. Reno and Cassel make a great pairing... if Mathieu Amalric played the villain I think the French trinity might make your TV explode

The Crimson Rivers is a French serial killer thriller. A little bit Silence of the Lambs, a little bit Se7en. Reno and Cassel are always entertaining, so it's worth watching.

Slick, slick entertainment. I'm not sure it ultimately makes any sense, but it has wonderful atmosphere and I simply love it.

It's not bad. It surely has some flaws and some points could be better, but the acting is nice, the scenes have a nice flow. An overall nice impression.

With this duo you would hope for great things. Nope. Poor editing, unnecessary fight scenes, and a terrible ending. Very dumb.

Mediocre thriller.

A realy good french Thriller by Kassowitz with great actors like Reno & Cassel. The style of the Movie is dark & dirty with good thrilling moments.

Bogen er (naturligvis) bedre.

Way faster paced than the book. And not as complex. But overall a nice french thriller.

A very enjoyable film that entirely depends upon your taste. I thought it was rather fun given all of its elements, but I can see where people do have their reservations against it (particularly, the climax). The Virtua Fighter 4 scene is hilariously awesome too (oh, you'll have to see it to believe it).

Good French action movie that steals from American thrillers but brings something European to the table as well. Watchable, exciting and creepy. Recommended.
