Remake of a better known comedy which starred Joe E. Brown, Elmer, the Great (1933). One of only two films Bert Wheeler did after the death of his comic partner Robert Woolsey. Unfortunately this is a rather weak effort. Wheeler looks out of place without his glassy partner and the material is handled poorly without anyone in this being able to enhance it. Unless you are a hardcore Wheeler (& Woolsey) fan, check out Elmer, the Great instead.
