Even with all it's flaws and low budget this Hoot Gibson standard had enough charm to entertain. Hoot is such a different kind of western character and manages to sucker people into liking him and his productions. Including me to some extent. The Cowboy Counsellor is no great thriller, but does bring humor as Hoot pretends to be a lawyer to save a cute girls brother from being prosecuted for a crime he did not do.... guess the outcome.....
