The Covenant with Death

Interesting story of a young judge whose racial and class background put him at odds with the county over a murder trial. Unfortunately, while star George Maharis is charismatic, the screenplay drags him through a number of sprawling subplots, and the film is too sanitized to actually tackle or even explicitly demonstrate the obvious racial strife. Looks like a made-for-TV movie and sadly can't escape feeling like it either.
