The Conference

I'm Swedish, I'm a public servant, and I swear to you I've been to this exact teambuilding exercise, at this exact resort, with these exact people, praying to Lord Craven Almighty for an axe murderer to show up. Multiple times. I loved the novel; the movie wisely simplifies the characters and amps up the satire by about 23%. Just like our corrupt politicians, it's all just so obvious that you can't help but laugh even as it impales you.

A satire about professional development training that is fairly amusing and that also tries to come up with inventive forms of homicide, but perhaps these two aims slightly work against each other.

Signed up for a Swedish slasher and wasn't too disappointed. Some disjointed elements and the script could have been better, but some decent cinematography and transition effects. Enjoyed the lovely b movie thrills for the most part although the middle does drag quite a bit. 5.5 I'll round up to a 6.

It reminded me of that joke "what do you get when you apply motivational quotes to drunk people".
