I grew up with this film, so I'll always be kinder to it than I probably should. It's dumb as a post, but it moves at a really amazing clip and is mildly amusing the whole time. This kicked off a whole series of Disney films where Russell gained magic powers through the wonders of science.

God, I loved this flick when I saw it in the theater as a kid... sort of a redemption for nerds like me. Haven't seen it since, and I can't imagine it has held up particularly well. Oh, for simpler times...

Anything pre-'75 with Russell is better left as an embarrassing bygone in history rather than a practiced form of torture. Everything about this movie screams cookie cutter and it's a widely known concept that live-action Disney movies--for the most part--should be avoided.

The first of four Disney comic fantasies for Russell; basically a retooling of the Merlin Jones films (_The Misadventures of Merlin Jones_, _The Monkey's Uncle_) for the flower generation. Pretty routine comedy.

It's a very young Kurt Russell in a very cheesy family comedy. It's very much along the lines of the Absent-Minded Professor. If you like old Disney movies, then pick this up... if you can find it.
