I know of ways to complete less than excellent films. When tired, try placing yourself with your head upside down so that your eyes won't close. When unable (or unwilling) to focus, it seems to help looking at a running time counter now and then. Another useful distraction is trying to guess lines of dialogue, and yet another is trying to figure out which stars the no name actors look like. And then, of course, there's drinking games. FYI: In 'The Colony' the line "Come on." is spoken 45 times.

Despite the fact the film is bit heavy on (bad) CGI, borrows relentlessly from the Fallout series, and all the 'survivors' seem to have very little knowledge of actual survival techniques (they've been in a vault for 20 years, but nobody thought it would be a good idea to train more than one guy to fix the turbines), I can't really say I disliked it. Sure it's uber cliche, but few movies these days aren't, and I'm always a sucker for anything post-apocalyptic. Plus Paxton AND Fishburne? Bonus.

A thoroughly enjoyable chiller about the last humans alive trying to survive the next ice age. Nothing new but doesn't try to be and so doesn't fail. They could have kept the story going a little bit longer and given it a more fulfilling conclusion.

Cheap mindlessness. If you're in a dystopian/cannibal kind of mood, should fulfill you

This movie had lots of opportunity to really explore how people react to stress and hardship. In the beginning it teases the viewer with these plot lines. However the movie quickly evolves into horror/action movie with lots of blood and killing. It was a fun movie, but it could have been so much more.

Started off well but then fell into movie cliché hell. The antagonists were lame as shit and we've seen it done better.

An enjoyable if somewhat throwaway post-apocalyptic yarn. The capable cast make up for the gaping plotholes in this mash-up of The Thing, The Road, and Aliens.

It kind of fails as a survive the climate apocalypse on account of the script being silly and having lose threads everywhere. It's got a few moments as a slasher horror, but not too many.

It didn't look cold, and that took away from getting into the whole thing. A lot of things didn't make sense.

Well cast bad sci fi, is still bad sci fi. This has fairly decent production values except for some suspect CGI but its a pointless familiar plot that really drags it down.

Not bad low budget science fiction. Poor Bill Paxton must be sick of Aliens moments by this stage...

takes a interesting concept, introduces some intriguing possibilities for its plot, introduces at least a couple of characters whose development may turn out to be worthwhile...and then ignores all of that to just be a shitty post-apocalyptic cannibal movie. this movie is EXACTLY what you think it will be if you watch the trailer.

Basically: a squandered Paxton and some futile stabs at EVENT HORIZON-esque insanity.

I will always watch a movie where Bill Paxton plays the part of a jerk and he delivers quite well in that aspect in this film. Laurence Fishburne did fine but for being the lead for most of the film he doesn't inspire you much. The story itself is a little contrived and let me just say that I'm tired of seeing climate-based movies set in the future and using Global Warming for the reason that things are so bad. It was an overdone concept after the Day After Tomorrow was made. Please just stop.

This movie starts off really slow but eventually gets interesting. However there is nothing really new in this movie, everything seems like it has been taken from other films. The performances are fine but none are really groundbreaking. Overall this movie is a misfire.

The first 40 minutes you wonder what the film is supposed to be about and after that it gets ludicrous and weird and you can fast forward to the end to see you haven't missed anything.

Decent production design and decent acting, but the writing is very poor, especially the villains. And even though supplies are limited in the vault apparently there is no shortage of makeup and hair products for the blond chick to apply each morning.

I almost gave it a pass because the atmosphere is fine, it looks chilly throughout, and I know it's all cliche but I feel a lot of movies are so as long as it's done well it's okay. It was... an alright movie. There's just little things that keep me from giving this even a minor recommendation. Stupid logic. They could have made these baddies legit intimidating but they don't, and they want us to believe they are.

Parts of this are very good - not a recycled plot, original aspects. Overall good acting. Story is thin in spots and a few areas make no sense.

It's, um.. Well.. I wanted to like it, but.. the antagonists ripped me right out of it. Cannibals, I can believe. Cannibals who've filed their teeth to points? Pretty extra... Cannibals with pointy teeth who only communicate with animalistic screams and growls? Gimme a break. Super dumb and boring. Also, too much time building the story, too much time on the boring villains, then literally nothing about the thing I was actually interested in, the thaw? Ugh. >:C Do better.

Buzul çağında geçen bir macera gerilim filmi. Koloni halinde yaşayan bir sürü insan, yardım çağrısı isteyen koloniye 3 kişi gider. Karşılarına zombiler çıkar. Akıcılık konusunda sıkıntı yok. Buz sahneleri çok iyi. Görsel efekt başarılı. İçine Mad Max de kaçsa evde izlenilir. Kafadan kopmalık.

An enjoyable little low budget flick. If you just let the movie flow and remember this is sci-fi (not reality!!) the story plays itself out well. Yes the CG is not the greatest, but don't forget it's low budget. The actors do a great job, especially Paxton and the fish.

Brainless, but moderately entertaining thanks to the adequate leads. Writing was stupid, dialogue was stupid, CGI was bad, filmmaking was poor, etc etc etc. However, if you're into this kind of Sunday afternoon time-waster than I can think of worse ways to waste 90 minutes.
