Simple little feel good story, as a farm boy with a stubborn father makes success on stage. The Clodhopper (1917) stars Charles Ray, who was a pretty big star in those early days. Nothing super impressive about this film, but it's a good example of what made Ray so popular playing the innocent with a good heart.
