The City of Little Men

While this is mostly a short non-fiction promotional piece included on the Boys Town DVD, it begins with a fictionalized youth arriving at the town, just so the real Father Flanagan can take him in. This short does show the boys doing vocational work, which was mostly left out of the movie (Rooney has to strike up the band, you know!).

A short feature following the movie Boys Town (1938). Here we get to meet the real Father Flanagan, the founder of this home for forgotten boys. Admirable even if this little 11 minute film is nothing more then a promotional tool for the Spencer Tracey movie.
