The Chinese Bungalow

3rd time this had been adapted for the British screen. in the '40 film Hungarian Hollywood star Paul Lukas takes the part of Chinaman Yuan Sing. And it's not particularly good. Neither the make-up, nor the oriental act. The story takes a few half-interesting twists, even if this is fairly stereotypical nonsense. Thankfully the ladies Kay Walsh & Jane Baxter do a respectable job of it, but are unable to make The Chinese Bungalow (1940) anything more then a rather forgettable piece of escapism.
