The Channel

Enjoyed this 90s style actioner that borrows heavily from its higher tier counterparts. Crawford and Martini were solid. There's some rough dialogue choices in the writing, but overall it punches a little above its weight. Enjoyable 6.4.

It's formulaic but a lot better than I expected. Sure, it hits all the usual notes (one of the guys is of sound mind and the other, surprise surprise, is a nutcase), and there is some wonky dialogue. There's an unusual plot point or two. But then, it was acted well, it felt gritty, and I ultimately had a good time. This will get buried by other movies but it's worth a watch.

Weak cinematography and action. Struggles to engage visually and runs too long. Characterized by sameness.
