Assisted suicide for the terminally ill who very much wish to die, presented as serial killing and given a mystical overlay - in truth, in Australia, you'd have to be crudely obvious, and also unlucky in which cops find out, to even get charged with these crimes, even if your brother didn't get up and dance off the stage. (I had a doctor in discussions with police about having helped a half-dozen people die. No charges. Also wrote not bad gay porn.)

This film has a good cast. The movie starts off well but but it goes off the rails by the third act. A better script was needed here. Overall this movie is disappointing.

Many trails seemed to leave nowhere or barely anywhere, and a lot of the big breaks were accidental but it was alright overall. It was refreshing to see a woman depressed traumatised drunk cop instead of a male one

Decent crime thriller starring Susan Sarandon. A Canadian production.

a bland suspense/thriller that was able to get good performances out of the all-star cast,the script and story they were given just doesn't hold up. The ending is crap and it implies that the killer was right which just breaks the internal logic of the film.

How did this run-of-the-mill piece of crap attract such a high-powered cast? Poorly-written, ho-hum serial killer plot, with the obligatory puzzle--plus religious mysticism superimposed on it. A far better cast than this dreck deserves, "acting" away as if it were Ibsen...which it sure as hell ain't.

The theme and the religious angles were very tedious. The acting was mostly quite good, and there was quite a bit of suspense in the telling. The clues they collected were ridiculous and ruined all credibility. Even with the good performances it's hard to overcome the stupid writing. You simply cannot fix a bad story and stupid script. The ending was supposed to be shocking, but by the time you get there, the movie had lost all credibility, so it was predictable and lame.
