The Cabinet of Dr. Ramirez

The jury's still out on this one. Part of me thinks it might be some kind of masterpiece, but another part of me admits that stretches of it kind of drag and no question it's confusing as hell (although no more than the original, really). It works best as an abstract meditation on late capitalism, updating the original's expressionism for our postmodern era. Still, it's certainly a unique and indelible film, though exactly the kind of thing you'd expect from an experimental theater director.
