The Buccaneer

Cecil B. DeMille tries to make a swashbuckling pirate adventure starring Fredric March without making it believable. The main fault was the ill-fitted romantic link with Franciska Gaal. She was cute and a lot of fun, but she was on a totally different planet then where the rest of this story was and it just felt weird. But the comedy between her and Akim Tamiroff probable was the highlights. It's good in periods if one like classic cheesy adventures. This one is best for it's comic values.
