A powerful criminal brain from the planet Arous, Gor, assumes the body of scientist Steve March. Thru March he begins to control the world by threatening destruction to any country challenging his domination. Another brain, Val, works with Marchs future wife Sally to defeat Gor. Val explains that Gor will be vulnerable when he is forced to leave March at intervals to re-energize. Gors vulnerable spot, the Fissure of Orlando, is described in a note left by Sally in Steve's lab. (imdb)

Agar gives perhaps his best performance in this wonderfully inane flick. Another fun B-minus '50s classic from Juran under his nom-de-cheap "Nathan Hertz".

It starts out well, but the plot gets petty about 1/3 of the way in. The writers saw too many Flash Gordon serials from the 30's, and think aliens with indescribable power would be 1-dimensionally evil. It's a pity, because if the antagonists had been more believable, this film could actually have been pretty good. The actors gave it their best, and the effects were decent for a low-budget 50's production.

It drags quite frequently (that just comes with the territory, usually), but there are some great scenes, all involving either John Agar going crazy, a giant floating brain with eyes, or John Agar going crazy and a giant floating brain with eyes.
