Best of the best of the 90s raging erection for remaking shows I would watch on TV Land into movies. Jan segments are wild.

The whole movie is one long joke that wore thin halfway through watching the trailer.

Take the most diabetes-inducing family to ever hit tv land and place them in the materialistic-minded 1990s. The result is a satire which is far more clever than most people would dare to admit.

Oh this is funny stuff. I think that this movie lampoons the bland cheesiness of The Brady Bunch perfectly. There are a lot of quirky and funny moments in the film.

I wish I could say that half this score isn't for the totally cheesy song at the end, BUT IT TOTALLY IS. Well, that and insane Jan.

And... why was this made? I don't remember if the whole "Brady Bunch" franchise was a real cash cow back in the mid-90's, but I'm kind of thinking that this was just some unnecessary, nostalgic, misguided homage to the director's favorite TV show. I'm not gonna lie, though... I don't totally hate it. Jennifer Elise Cox as Jan Brady must have some strange and terrible power over me.

Likeable in a really cringeworthy way. But only in short doses.

i grew up with the show, and i have to say that this film actually did a pretty good job at capturing the extremely dorky nature of the show and christine taylor actually made me crush on marcia all over again.

The film has some absolutely hilarious moments which make it a decent comedy, but it also has entire segments which are dull. As we move further and further away from the days when The Brady Bunch originally aired, many of the "inside jokes" in this film lose their audience, and the film is starting to slip. Can really only recommend to people familiar enough with the original series.

I've never liked the Brady Bunch series in the first place, so why I watched this I'm still not sure. What bugged me the most was the use of risque jokes (such as the lesbian best friend) in a movie about a series with such a wholesome reputation. It just seemed completely inappropriate.

I expected to hate it, but I guffawed - and I mean truly *guffawed* - at every scene. With so many characters to follow around it always keeps moving and every comic actor (even if they only get a single 2 minute scene) knocks the material out of the park. Of course, loving this film requires that you first loved the TV show: it lampoons the show, but lovingly so. Seeing their joyously absurd song and dance number in Sears, I couldn't help but feel that maybe the Bradys have it right.

This and the sequel are probably two of my guiltiest pleasures and the source of about 40% of the inside jokes I share with my sister.

Jennifer Elise Cox is an absolute force of nature amongst a smorgasbord of career bests, especially Shelley Long & Christine Taylor. How this actually worked in every way is beyond me.

The Brady Bunch Movie suffers from Anchorman syndrome (i.e. the belief that retro attire and constant mugging are inherently funny) and from Coneheads syndrome (the concept and casting is funnier than the actual film). The cast is superb, especially Long and Taylor as Mrs Brady and Marcia respectively; Taylor particularly inhabits her character in a peculiarly uncanny way. But it's a one note joke that's largely bereft of wit and relies too heavily on the Brady's anachronistic foolishness.

If this movie took itself seriously at all, it would have been a gigantic failure, but it''s relentless skewering of just how bubblegum crap The Brady Bunch was makes this a winner in some sense.

"The Brady Bunch Movie" is totally self-aware, embracing the hokey source material and near-seamlessly integrating it with the cynicism of the 90's--to hilarious effect.

The Brady Bunch Movie plays off the anachronisms of a 70's TV show lost in this 1990's movie. Watching this movie two decades later layers adds another anachronism on top of this weird plot. The cast of this movie is pretty good. Christine Taylor, a heartthrob to any 90's kid who watched Hey! Dude. Michael McKean adds that Saturday Night Live type flavor to this farcical movie. Overall the movie is a lot of fun if you grew up on The Brady Bunch, even if you didn't, this movie is still go
