There is an amazingly original twist that makes all the tired cliches and annoying 'female in jeopardy' crap worthwhile...at least that must have been the pitch to get this made. They lied.

Please kneel on my neck Officer Angelina Jolie. Super slick snooze for the most part, very ugly looking film, everything shot inside a car look heinous. Denzel Washington spends almost the entire movie laying in bed, any actors dream role. I saw that this was based on a book so I went to investigate and ... there are THIRTEEN of them, I heard by the end Denzel’s character has a mech exoskeleton suit made so he can go and cut off any hands needed. One of the books is called The Skin Collecto

I thought this one would be great, but it's mediocre at best. Absolutely no tension, no great performances and the plot has some good ideas, but misses too much to be more than ordinary.

Decent thriller until the final 15 minutes or so, which is ridiculously whatever. Anybody else but Denzel Washington in this, and this movie would've been a joke.

This is crap! It's just offence to common sense. To belive that cripled, retired detective, despite how good he is, leed investigation with exclusive help of cop (not detective), despite how hot she looks is just against rules, not to mention logic. It's not zero just becouse good cast. Go watch "7" once more and don't waste your time!

Nothing really special about this thriller. The gimmick of the one cop being the eyes, ears and arms of the other cop, who is the brain, gets old fast and you're left with a mediocre film. Nothing much else to say.

I always enjoy a good bit of murder mystery and serial killer tracking in my movies. The Bone Collector has some decent ideas and visuals and it does really manage to break out the eerie mood suitable for the theme. What it lacks is just... sense, I guess? The killer leaves clues that are strange and vague and in the end, they undermine him in a way that seems unexplained. Even if one could put that on the account of being too prideful, it still feels too stupid. Watchable, but not good.

Immensely boring and by the books murder mystery. A lot of drama is really hard to take seriously due to the melodramatic music and cheesy writing. The part where Jolie struggles to remove the handcuffs off of a dead body because Denzel "needs the DNA" was so ham-fisted I couldn't help but laugh. As for the mystery itself, evidence is often supplied in the most contrived way imaginable to the point of parody, and the detectives come to correct conclusions based on wild assumptions.

impressive central performances from Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie as two very different cops who team up to track down a serial killer. Washington plays a decorated police officer now confined to his bed after an accident at work left him virtually paralysed. Jolie's the young rookie who's brought in to explore the deepest, darkest areas of Manhattan under his instruction as they follow the trail of a sadistic murderer who picks up his victims in a yellow taxi.

Pretty consistently taught mainly because of the interesting killings & cool sets & set ups, the end is impossible to guess and stupid as expected. Angela is striking in her dark hair and breathes life into her character, Denzil's laden looks will never wash with me. Several gruesome bodies/killings decorate the movie to good effect.
