Hoot Gibson films are for the most part cozy and funny. A little bit different than the average B-western. They are still low budget and small experiences, but they provide entertainment for the hour they last. Here they even got room for a small role for Hattie McDaniel and pre-beard George 'Gabby' Hayes, while Hoot tries not to fool for rival Wheeler Oakman's tricks. It makes the most out of a small plot.
