A series of disconnected gags that take place in a smitty's shop. Nothing very inventive here, except for the bit with the car window.

What an unexpected ending. The gags are mostly the same as in prior shorts. Decent, but not memorable.

Lighter, but by no means lesser, work from Keaton. Second half has the most chuckles.

Estreava há 100 anos os EUA. Não vou mentir, fiquei meio decepcionada por ser um Keaton. Um bom Keaton, mas sem a genialidade, Box OP Buster Keaton.

The gags are too dumb to make up for the nonsensical plot. Buster's starting to develop Fatty's bad habit of making women find him irresistible.

A really funny short with some good and inventive gags. I'm just starting to get into Buster Keaton and this is a great start.

Enjoyable Keaton exercise feels like a throwback to his Arbuckle collaborations, and therefore feels less ambitious than some of his other works -- but there is still a lot to like here, especially Keaton's early encounter with an angry rabble rouser - watch out for the magnet!

Flawless series of physical hilarity with wonderful structure, plenty of character and perfect steadily rising tempo.

This one felt kind of average overall (maybe it was all those tired bits about smearing oil on things dragging the rest down). There are some clever bits, though (the giant magnet, the kid with the balloon, the train sequence, etc.), and that one horse was a pretty good performer. I probably liked the last 20 seconds or so best of all, though.

Reminds me of my days as an auto mechanic. I wasn't much better at it than Buster.

this one is a keeper, buster ramps up the originality and has some fine gags. this is one that you probably wont really come across unless you've devoted some serious time to watching buster, but in that case you probably already like him so it'd be worth it.

Pretty funny for the most part, except for the stuff with the oil stains in the middle.

Amusing, with some tricky editing. Interesting in that Buster seems to project a little more emotion than usual. And what a sweet ending.

Nice trick with car doors falling on Buster, and him being saved by the fact that he stands exactly where open window lands. He later re-used that idea for Steamboat Bill Jr. Horse, choosing "shoes" for himself was funny too. On technical side it is average Keaton's short film.
