A nice enough thriller with some good on-location shooting. Caine plays a special agent trained to conceal his inner reactions and feelings - too bad he strolls through the film with a blank face, instead of actually portraying the silenced feelings of a father about to lose his child.

Mediocre thriller, let down by a muddled plot. The villains do some really confusing things towards the end and I had a hard time believing MI6 could ever be as inept as they are portrayed in this film. Despite that, there are a couple of good moments, with the highlight being a fun chase through the London Underground.

Tedious thriller distinguished by some typically slick and flashy direction from Siegel, but the perfunctory plot (which feels like warmed up leftovers from DIRTY HARRY) and constipated performances (with Caine's wooden posturing the worst) essentially sink it. Pleasence is the only reasonable performer, but his style is so strange and over-the-top (and he can't stop stroking his mustache!) that he throws the movie off-kilter whenever he is on screen. Nice jazzy HARRY-ish score though.
