Plenty of fun! Boris Karloff does a great job playing twins.

This offers two Karloffs for the price of one. Generally effective gothic tale.

A fun story that is carried by Karloff's persona. Very concise and straightforward, which works well in the confines of what it seeks to deliver without setting the bar too high, either.

"The Black Room" plot revolved around a prophecy that told us what would happen. Then it moved slowly without emotion, never engaging me.

A terrible movie made infinitely watchable by Karloff's performance[s].

Can't go wrong with Double-Boris Karloff!!! He plays twin Barons. One evil, one good. Not only does this have a cool psychological horror approach, Karloff shows what an excellent actor he truly is!

Well shot film with a nice story, but it's Karloff who raises this from interesting but forgettable to electrifying and memorable. He plays both roles well and never stops for a second.

God, Karloff never got enough credit. What an excellent actor. Very well shot, too. The wedding scene in particular uses space very well.

One of Karloff's best. Boris is at his best here, investing each sibling with fascinating little personal ticks and character traits, while Neill gives this low-cost period piece a nice gloss. Everything's topped with an exciting, wonderfully ironic ending.

Interesting principally for Karloff as twins. Keeps the viewer's interest pretty well, but nothing special.
