The Big Swim

NFB SHORT A DAY #33: I'd found this weirdly inert and off-rhythm, then discovered, no thanks to the NFB, that it was edited from footage shot for the final segment of Carle's longer NATATION (1963), perhaps quickly cut together for English audiences as none of the French voiceover detailing the action in that film was re-recorded in English (the current NFB listing for this also misleadingly reproduces the summary for the longer film, available only in unsubbed French). Still, not unenjoyable.
