The Big Snit

Wanna play Scrabble? Or saw the table? How's about shaking your eyes? This is a story of a couple who have lived together for a very, very long time to know each others oddities. And still they are in love.

This is so ridiculous that it borders on genius.

I laughed a few times during this. The saw gag is great. Others here have said that the sloppy animation is charming and I agree. I thought the ending, the transition from inside to heaven, was well done. There's a lot of chaotic energy all over this. By the way, to anybody who doesn't live in Canada, this is actually what it's like up here. We just watch teens saw and shit.

NFB SHORT OF THE DAY #21: It's refreshing to see narrative animation from the NFB that is so deliberately abrasive and chaotic. If only it were funnier. (Though I laughed very hard when he poked her.) Justin Roiland seems to have taken an awful lot from this.

Absolutely bizarre. Its sloppy animation is charming but the absurdity is the star.

Not particularly funny, but I enjoyed it for how interesting it was in a artistic and aesthetic standpoint. It's crude in appearance, but that's what I find charming about it.

I always loved the animation style of this short, for some reason the giant flappy teeth seemed hysterically funny to my 10 year old brain. There's some really inspired moments, but it ultimately overstays its welcome with all the screaming, and the cataclysmic ending feels pretty flat.

After seeing it again I had to give it a higher score. It's just so freaking funny and so beautiful at the same time.

Grating voices and sounds, ugly animation and a stupid story.
