Our intrepid defender of the working man, Michael Moore, documents his 1996 "Downsize This!" book tour across the USA. Shot on-the-cheap with a video camera, we once again watch our hero interview the working man at yet another plant closing, while also trying to get past corporate security guards to interview the millionaire CEOs. Good Documentary. As I only like 1 part of this whole thing. That's when he's talking to the Woman of Johnson Controls. She's telling him the it's fine great speech. He's like being a smart ass all the way through telling her I wish you would have told the Workers that they be fired. Then presents them with like this huge Cheque of 80 cents because he know they are re locating in Mexico to help out those workers. That's the only thing I liked.

Equal parts annoying and amusing, which can be said of both the film and Michael Moore.

The film feels like the conservative caricature of Moore as a grandstanding narcissist who really doesn't care about the people he meets. If you watch films like SiCKO, that couldn't be further from the truth, but the stunts Moore tries to pull in this, wear a bit thin this time around. It's an entertaining film as a whole, and very funny at times to see Moore pull some jokes, but the focus is too much on him, and that's why this has never quite felt that way to me.

This one follows Michael Moore on his book tour and it deals with Downsizing. This is not Moore's best film but it is still really enjoyable. There is a nice mix of funny and serious moments in this film.

At his best when directly confronting his targets. Love him or hate him the man has balls.

Making me laugh at corporate welfare isn't a bad trick, nor confronting me with my own discomfort at confrontation. Mike is a force to be reckoned with (albeit fundamentally conservative), production quality is, however, low.
