I think the best thing about this film is the cover, a young chubby ginger taking a soccer ball to the gonads.

I'll say first thing that I'm a sucker for underdog sports stories. I love them, and will give a pass to any that hits even a base level of competency. However, this film doesn't. The comedy bits (speed-ramp photography, a goat kicking a soccer ball, stepping in poop, bouncing sound effects) are all PAINFUL. The choice to spend literally one-third of movie's screentime on the climactic game is weird and bad. However, I still don't hate it. Why? Underdog sports story, baby!

Wow. Hockey had the Mighty Ducks. Baseball had the Sandlot. Football had The Little Giants. Soccer had the Big Green. This movie is obviously the worst of all prepubescent sport comedies.

If the coach says something like "I want to smell sweat", pull your kids immediately or they about to get diddled into dust. Guttenberg 90s schlub coasting Even movie soccer is boring.

A silly movie that hits wrong notes a lot, but its heart is in the right place and it has a funny villain.

Not the best of Disney's underdog 90's sports films, however it still provides quite a few laughs.

Just remember the Goalie of this movie as he was having like visions of being scared when he was in nets. Then like every movie they somehow overcome their losing obstacle and became soccer champions.

I've said every sport deserves a good comedy film and a good children's film, well, in soccer's case, we're still waiting on a good children's film. The Big Screen doesn't cut it. Crap!
