It's THE GODFATHER with (ironically) all of the weighty familial subtext edited out; what's left is a series of brutal executions which are nevertheless staged with style, and performances which are fine within their confines; GODFATHER alum Conte is great fun as a rival mob boss. Not bad as far as these things go.
