Jim Cummings is such an important voice for modern indie filmmaking. The fact that this was crowdfunded and made for 350k is incredible, the film does not feel held back by any budgetary limitations. I love what this movie has to say about Hollywood and the microcosm of agents in particular.

There is a kinetic energy to Cummings that makes it nearly impossible to take your eyes off of him. There's a blending of genres here that is quite unlike what Moorehead and Benson do with their films. This is more like a serious drama that was shifted through sheer force of will into a comedy. I was here for the comedy so it worked well for me. It's a shame I ended up with Thunder Road as my last of his to see.

Still has a it’s funny moments and it’s moments where Cummings really brings it but I was very excited for where this could go thematically and it didn’t really want to say anything

I do enjoy a good "character having a slow-motion nervous breakdown" movie, and the manic tone of Cummings' performance was fun to watch, but the satirical elements only worked for me some of the time.

It had a certain creepy vibe throughout that was reminiscent of Patrick Bateman. It felt less well done but still held unique appeal and kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat. The message it sends is varied and I think I appreciated the uneasiness of the whole experience.

I have not seen something more nonsensical and someone more irritating in a long time.

It’s definitely trying to juggle a bit too much wrt it’s themes but it still works. A bit of diminishing returns since Thunder Road.

Interesting idea, fun attempt at satire, the execution isn't the best.

Another excellent Cummings vehicle. I feel like the commentary on Hollywood was way more fun than the commentary on the internet/social media. As with Thunder Road, the most interesting thing was just watching a deeply disturbed character try to hold it together while his world is falling apart. I don't think this quite stuck the landing, both in terms of the plot and the character arcs.

Cummings makes entertaining movies but his manic style of dialogue doesn't hit for me as often as it should. There are times where it's effective, but even his character isn't that memorable. Maybe it's just in how Cummings plays him: he's a limited actor and can't really bring it to life. Aside from that, the satire is fine. The way he uses colour and blandness to depict that world is useful but, like the satire, isn't uncommon. Still appreciated. I always want to like his movies more than I do

this is very strange and the logic of the world is a bit of a fever dream. I think the mental illness of the main character does not quite work with whatever point it's trying to make about the Internet
