The first half was OK but then it became more and more stupid towards the end.

Beautiful scenery, but I recall being more interested in the flashback younger characters than their boring melodramatic adult selves. And that cheesy ending...

It's a typical romance film that does little to lend it's hand to developing a sense of realism for the genre. It allows audiences to believe that affairs are okay as long as their is tension within the marriage and that somehow fate ties everything up neatly. It's a mess after the midway mark which is essentially where I would suggest that you stop watching. Save yourself from the overly dramatic final 25 minutes, and the ending that didn't need to be spelled out because it was already implied.

I enjoyed it, though there are definitely some stupid parts. Annoying ending, but some cute memory scenes and at least this did feel romantic.

Another addition to the "why did I even watch that" list. Unbelievably boring and uninspired.

Listen, I don't have anything against Dawson and Amanda. They do seem like a nice couple. But the underlying message here is a little scary. And the fact that Amanda and Frank could use some serious marriage counseling in no way gives her license to sleep with an old beau. (pluggedin.com)

The most wildly implausible film I've ever seen. And I've seen Santa Claus versus the Martians*. I'm usually vaguely susceptible to Sparks-ian charms, but not this go-around. Yeesh. (* - I actually haven't, but I feel that's immaterial.)
