The Rob Schneider Project- day 23. Had been in a dark cell for.. weeks? Months? Until silent guards fetch me once again and bring me to a cold projection room. The straps seem tighter than before. The movie they play... Surreal. Schneider as the main character, married, every other actor being the comic relief? Unrelenting horror. After a cruel hour, I break and hoarsely whisper "Back to the cell. Please... anything but this". They comply, laughing. Am I in hell? Schneider-annoyance factor: 5.

Alvin York was a pacifist that was drafted into WWI. He tried to make a conscientious objection, but ultimately decided to join. In combat he was forced to use his weapon in deadly fashion, but he singlehandedly captured more enemy soldiers alive than anyone ever. When tasked with a mission he morally objected to, he managed to break his own code and in doing so, save more lives than he ever could have otherwise. That's what he did with his life. You're online reading a review of Benchwarmers.

There was the bad acting, bad dialogue and the generic over-used gags. They obviously had to include the jock who no one would suspect is gay but look he is; then subsequently make countless references to it the whole movie because I guess that's still funny. Also, let's not forget the midgets because they are small and scream in a higher pitch and that's hilarious, too.

Someone needs to hold Jon Heder's and Rob Schneider's heads together and kill them with a single gunshot so we do not waste two bullets on such worthless people. And I hope those assholes read this and it haunts them as they try to fall asleep. Rich fuckfaces.

Wow, I can't believe I watched a movie that stars three of the most insipid, unfunny comedy actors in cinema history. It's like Dugan was aiming to top the Epic Movie guys by trying to make something so absolutely unfunny, annoying and idiotic that you'll be paralyzed from irritability. The worst part of it all is that there are tons of idiots out there who actually like this pile of trash.

"Revenge of the Nerds" 20 years later has changed the likeable, computer-dependent overachievers into unlikeable, antisocial, anti-intellectual scumbags who we're supposed to like. Anyone who can relate to these slope-browed film constructs shouldn't be given a movie ticket to anything else. You pay for "Bechwamers", you get "Benchwarmers".

It’s a “Sandler Takes His Buddies On Vacation” movie, but on a Rob Schneider budget, so instead of going to Hawaii, we get treated to the all-you-can-eat buffet at Pizza Hut! Even employing my sliding scale rating system for Happy Madison productions, this one is excruciatingly dull – at least it’s missing the abrasive anger and cruelty of the worst of HM, but it would be nice if something (anything) was substituted to provide a hook of interest; even Spade and Schneider seem suitably bored.

It's simply amazing that people within the general orbit of Adam Sandler will simply have films manifest to prop up their careers. The Benchwarmers is another one of those. Everything about it reeks of awfulness and cynicism. Mr. Schneider. Rob, can you at least try? Wait, is this trying? Oh no....

Happy Madison is back with another below-average friends of Adam Sandler production. Veterans Rob Schneider and David Spade welcome John Heder to the team. Most of the jokes in the movie miss the strike zone, but there are a few foul tick gems hidden in the film for fans of the friends.

The Happy Madison B-team really showed their stuff with this movie. The movie really had a good message while also having a lot of funny moments. I remember hearing that this movie won some awards for its representation of the left-out kids.
I know that I have watched this movie before but I remembered it being a lot worse. I actually thought it was good the second time around. It won't be a movie that I come back to on a yearly basis or anything but it's something I'd watch again.

It's alright. It's definitely Schneider's best starring role, and the rest of the cast works pretty well as well. The whole thing ends up being pretty ridiculous, but I didn't really care. I'll never watch t all the way through again but if I happen upon it while flipping channels I may pause and watch it until the next commercial break.

I suppose that in the end, The Benchwarmers wasn't a terrible film. It wasn't anywhere close to "good", and it definitely isn't worth your time, but it wasn't terrible. The ending and the payoff that comes with it almost makes the whole adventure worth it, and the cameo role given to Reggie Jackson, as well as the character of Carlos are also nice points. It's just that these moments do not last long enough, or occur often enough, in order to keep interest.

If you ever reminisce about your childhood and want to recapture the spirit of your youth by wathing a good disneyesque, sports and comming of age movie, do NOT WATCH THE BENCHWARMERS!!! If you however want to watch a horrible movie with a lot of has (and never has) been actors like Lovitz, Spade, Heder and Schneider and think "I can do that" then this movie is for you! You know your watching a crap movie when a Pinocchio enspired robot butler is the closest the movie comes to an actual actor!

Wasn't nearly as horrible as I thought it would be, but then again, I was expecting some worst-ever levels of suckage. Schneider, Spade and Napoleon are like an unholy trinity of not-funniness, and the movie pairs each of them with excessively hot women -- especially Schneider, whose bomb-shell wife (Molly Sims) wants only to have sex with him 24/7. Schneider must have written the script too, I guess. Pretty sad when, in a cast full of SNL alumni, Reggie Jackson is the funniest guy in the movie.

If you go into the movie expecting a bad, stupid comedy, this movie takes that and exaggerates it. I don't think a lot of people got that. It seemed to almost make fun of bad comedies by making it so outrageous that it was almost refreshing.

It does answer the question on many people's minds about whether Schneider or Spade could actually make worse films than they already have. The Benchwarmers is the worst baseball film I've ever seen in my lifetime. It doesn't even deserve a place in the dugout -- it should be banned from the game with no chance of reinstatement.
