The plot is largely irrelevant and the humour slightly dated however the images and characters created are iconic and timeless.

Awful anti-comedy. Perhaps the biggest flaw is that none of the characters are remotely interesting, whether to root for or against. As such, the already flimsy gags lose any dramatic weight and are forced to stand entirely on their own. They can't and so the film is a tedious non-sensical plot strung together with simplistic "jokes," most of which fail to even register as such, much less make me laugh.

Top badass moment? Seeing the big clock at Paddington Station that’s still there to this day. (That’s a bit geeky, sorry.) It’s not very funny, the plot makes less sense than this year’s A Level results and there’s a definite suspicion of white actors made up to look Arabic. But it’s mostly harmless, occasionally violent in a Tom and Jerry kind of way, and you can play the 'Became Famous' game if you get bored. But it's a classic... apparently. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

It starts off strong with the villagers freaking out over the girls' arrival, but besides the occasional funny gag, I don't recall much notable about the film, not that it was boring, just not memorable. However, I found the policewoman dreadfully boring. I wish the girls had more distinct personalities. Fav scene: Alastair Sim conversing with himself is some good movie magic.
