A relatively interesting story punctuated by lackluster music and extended dance sequences of no consequence or relevance. If better music were incorporated, or if this were balanced, this wouldn't have been such an obscure Astaire movie.

The way Fred Astaire films are. Full of song, dance and fluff. In Technicolor too, to brighten it even more. Here up against Vera-Ellen, who might not be his more memorable screen partner, but she's got the same look and personality as the rest of them. Marjorie Main and Keenan Wynn bring their colorful personalities to the silly mess, and it all becomes a entertaining one in the Astaire style of film.
