I have spent my entire life believing disco sucks. Y'know why? Because people have told me that it sucks. I am finally freeing myself from those shackles. I hope I am not the only one who was incredibly surprised that the Bee Gees were once a Beatles/Kinks-sounding band in the sixties.

The kind of doc that I'd been wanting to see on the Bee Gees. I wouldn't say it would fulfill the needs of a completist, but there are plenty of interesting bits of info I never knew. The keyboardist's recollection of "How Deep Is Your Love" is genuinely moving for fans of the song as are the bracketing pieces with Barry. Great songs trigger old feelings again & for him & fans who grew up w/ these classics it's both wonderful to remember all the beauty, & bittersweet to know that it's gone

I really enjoyed this documentary of one of the most adaptable musicians that ever existed. They also happen to be one of my favorite bands. Barry Gibb's candor and humility made it an even more enjoyable experience getting to know their personalities. The 3 brothers had to handle the challenges of fame and the vicious hate campaign against disco that caused their hiatus. I was astonished about how prolific they were as songwriters. Their lyrics made the career of BIG music names... and Travolta

For at least 20 years, the Bee Gees were treated as a cultural punch line, and I've been really glad to see the culture come around and appreciate how great they were. The fairly conventionally structured "talking heads" documentary does a pretty wonderful job of walking through their career and talking about what made them so great ... their gorgeous vocal harmonies, exquisite sense of melody and their amazing recreation as a white R&B act in the mid-70's.

It's only words and words all I Have.

I enjoyed as the documentary went with some detail through the major points of their long career. I thought it could've done better with the interview with Barry in present day. His parts didn't seem to connect well with the rest of the film.

Solid documentary about a solid band that successfully changed their sound a few times in their career. I can't think of another band that's done that, at least to this degree.
