Considering how many obscure '80s Raoul Ruiz movies i've made it through, a film trying desperately to be "like, the weirdest thing you've ever seen, man" by blatantly channeling Eraserhead, Tetsuo, The American Astronaut, Michel Gondry, and really just a lot of The Mighty Boosh isn't quite going to cut it for me on that front. That said it's still pretty enjoyable for what it is even if it sort of starts to drag a little bit after a while (especially during the, um, musical sequences).
