Of a piece with Steamboat Willie and Fantasia in establishing the mouse as maestro, conducting all manner of creatures into symphonic fury to conjure a storm. Disney's animation philosophy reads clear - to invoke music is to invoke magic.

First appearance of Donald Duck, the inventor of trolling. Second half not quite as good.

One of the best animated shorts of all time. It reminds me of the inside of my brain during scary creative moments.

It drags a bit. The animation wasn't spectacular, and there weren't many jokes - but it did have some good music. I just didn't get much out of it.

Donald Duck steals the first half of the show, while the music dominates the second half. Classic Disney.

One of my very favorite Disney shorts. I used to watch this and some of the other Donald/Mickey shorts over and over and over.
