The Awakening

A Bram Stoker novel somehow gets turned into yet another Omen ripoff (which wasn't very good to start with). Poor Chuck.

I loved the end.

I sized this one up pretty quickly, went back for another look later and it seemed even worse.

Silly horror.

Everything about this movie is just fine, the acting is fine, the story is fine, the film is a little long and slow but still okay. The only real dislike was the ending. Worth a watch nothing more.

bad movie

Probably could have fit into a TV episode or a horror anthology. None of the relationships felt real. While we had the requisite Egyptian setting, it lacked the flavor that other mummy films had. As a horror film it was also boring. Did I see Heston kiss his teenage daughter on the lips? Fav scene: the ending was pretty cool, with Heston trying to destroy the mummy when he realized what he did.

This one might put you to sleep! Too long and slow with very little payoff. Pretty disappointing. The exotic locales are its only saving grace.
