An intriguing but unsatisfying sci-fi/espionage thriller. Bland programmer that doesn't sufficiently develop its unique gimmick.

I expected "The Atomic Man" to be a '50s sci-fi about a man transformed into a monster by radiation. Surprisingly, it unfolded as a murder mystery featuring a victim of radiation and a plot driven by industrial espionage. Despite its unhurried pace and predominantly nocturnal setting, the film's fiery journalist character keeps it watchable.

Delaney really is a science communicator superman and Nelson really does carry the film. The science is iffy but believable enough to make for a fun ride. I prefer the the British title 'Timeslip'.

The title premise is intriguing, but they don't really make anything of it, and ultimately it just becomes a fairly ordinary espionage story. Also the timeslip idea wasn't entirely consistent (when the guy takes a drink of water, for example).
