The Aftermath

I was legitimately surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Also, the ending was great, and not just for a low-budget movie but in a perfect ending for the story kind of way.

This one's pretty deep in the so bad it's good territory. It starts off campy and lame, but by the end it transforms to a cheap action/violence exploitation mix. Make no mistake, this movie sucks. But there's some worthwhile shit here. Cool, cheaply painted vistas. Some unexpectedly brutal fucking killings. A weird contrast in tone between 70s style/camp and the ultimately nihilistic nature of the story. This one's bad for sure, but honestly by the end I was liking it. I loved the closing shot.

I don't have the patience for this kind of crap, so I made it 20 minutes in despite myself because I was promised it was some sort of sleazy classic

Dull, unimaginative direct-to-video cheapie (although actually made originally for theatrical distribution -- hah!). The '50s camp classic _World Without End_ handled a similar storyline with a lot more style and verve.
