This is more of a curiosity for fans of director Tsukamoto and it's a sort of proto-type for Tetsuo the Ironman. It's interesting to see similar elements and ideas that he takes much further in that film. He also recycles some of the footage from this film which adds to the experience of watching these back-to-back. But as a standalone film, it's still rough around the edges and nothing that special.

So Tsukamoto made two blueprints, essentially, for Tetsuo. This is arguably (lol) the most batshit of the lot. A bit more of a wild and crazy mess as opposed to Tetsuo's singular obsessive psychosis, making it fun and interesting but also predominantly disaffecting.

A really stupid cyberpunk comedy from the creator of Tetsuo. The comedy and story suck the action is hard to follow and annoying. It's pretty much sheer lunacy which is the only reason it's rated as high as it is.

Destiny & romance collide as an elderly katana-wielding lady with a photo album for a hat teaches young time-travelling boy how to harness the power of an electric rod growing on his back and free the future from eternal darkness created by a race of mecha-vampires & their perverse biomechanical experiments. Believe me, it's a lot stranger than I'm making it sound. Manages to side-step glaring amateurishness by injecting some real vision and bizarre kind of heart into this bonkers fairytale.
