That Girl from Paris

The 2nd of three feature films opera singer Lily Pons did for RKO, and probable the best. They don't go overboard with her high-pitched singing and place her in the middle of a seasoned cast creating the laughter needed. Pons still looks terribly out of place in such a illegal immigrant comedy, coming across as a stiff and a wrong kind of nut for the part. They had Lucille Ball in this and she manages to outshine the heroin the short few scenes she was in.
