That Darn Cat!

The original of many lesser animal acts to follow, including "Benji" (That Darned Dog) and "The Animal" (That Darned Dumbass).

The cast isn't much (aside from the cat), but it's a difficult to dislike kids movie and the intro and outro songs by Bobby Darin are absolute bangers.

For a kids' movie, this isn't bad, even with Jones' wooden acting (and his ability to turn on or off his allergies). There's a decent amount of humor (a tiny bit cerebral, a lot of cat hijinks, and some slapstick) mixed with the somewhat terrifying hostage-to-be-murdered story. And the side characters bring back a lot of older stars for the adults sitting through it. Certainly more impressive realizing that this was done before CGI. Fav scene: the almost "fishing expedition."

Aquele Gato Danado estreava há 55 anos nos EUA. Acho que esse filme passava na sessão da tarde nos anos 80, mas enfim, todo momento envolvendo DC é maravilhoso, é sempre difícil filmar gatos, mesmo tendo vários deles representando um só e o modo de filmar aqui é sensacional. DVDRip Multiply.

Some genuinely funny moments alongside some cringeworthy ones. Silly, lightweight entertainment that is a bit dated but mostly inoffensive.

Disney apparently opted with the title "That Goddamned Fucking Cat!" before talking to their lawyers. When I was I kid I couldn't stand that whitebread milquetoast Dean Jones (even then I could see what a lizard person of a Disney rep he was), and this bowl of fermented offal is why.

LOL that cat is always back on time. So furry and cute. :3 :D

Enjoyed it quite a bit. While it's not LOL comedy, it does present a few chuckle moments. I might have enjoyed it better if Buena Vista/Disney had cared to release this movie on DVD, the way the movie was shot - Widescreen. Instead, the only DVD release of this movie in US has been a pan & scan, FS version (!@#$), the one I saw.

I loved watching and re-watching this movie when I was a kid. I think it's part of why I love cats!
