Thanatomorphose

A young woman is frustrated with lack of proper sex. If you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anybody else. After an half of an hour a frustrating nothing really happens the story started to create something close to Polanski's Repulsion or Tenant or even The Human Centipede by Tom Six. The score was very nice but the lack of light equipment made dark scenes practically non visual. The worst part was the party scene. The natural nudity was touchy and real.

One of those movies I'll probably like better in retrospect, when I've forgotten how tedious it actually was.

There's some potentially interesting stuff in here on a woman's image and self-worth, but, frustratingly, it is hidden behind astounding incompetence from all involved (except Couture.) I guess "Thanatomorphose" is this years shock film, as the horror community is raving about how shocking and disgusting this is, which makes me sad that people can't even get the shock factor right anymore. The final scene was pretty cool though, kind of "Evil Dead"-esque.
