William Boyd doing one of his masquerade parts as Hopalong Cassidy and a snobbish fellow going undercover to fool some land stealers. Might not be anything new in the Hopalong series, but with the big western drought of '44, Texas Masquerade (1944) is among the more entertaining westerns of the year.
