Royal ancestors feel the wrath of the curse of the condemned witch Mad Dolly, who spews forth her prophecy while she is burned at the stake. The victims suffer death by having their heads removed in various fashions, getting their limbs caught in animal traps, knife wounds, and other methods of medieval torture. (imdb)

Stir of Echoes took what Terror did and did it much better. Terror took what Suspiria did and did it much worse. Suspiria. Lofty goals there, Norman J. Warren.

British Suspiria knockoff that has some nice set pieces (and a few shameless fake scares) but ultimately doesn't really go anywhere. I would much rather have seen a full-length version of the movie they show at the beginning.

Typically underdone and over-zealous offering from Norman J. Warren. The director's enthusiasm for the genre can't overcome threadbare production values and indifferent actors.

At times this felt like a Giallo at others it was like a Tv movie and during a lot of it, it was a confused clusterfuck. It was surprisingly gory while still feeling weirdly PG. I'm not going to lie I enjoyed myself while watching this and while it wasn't great it wasn't a waste of time by any stretch. A solid middle of the road '70s horror film.
