An enjoyable anthology without a sour note, benefitting from the creative freedom allowed, restrained only by the brevity that prevents the usual suspects from rambling (as Wenders and Jarmusch sometimes do). Most segments are very on-brand for their makers, like condensations or prologues to their usual fare. Lee's is basically an investigative report on the election debacle. Erice may be my pick of the crop with a stunning piece of almost entirely visual storytelling.

segment "Int. Trailer Night" - awesome

3342314 Not much into shorts but this was a good watch. The Herzog piece was my favourite, the only duffer being the one with people whining about polytricks (Lee)

(Note: This review is just for Herzog's segment.) As Herzog is always able to do, he stuffs a lot of theme into a very short running time, and he turns simple images into something profound. For instance, the last shot is of one of the elders studying a clock. The simple image has all sorts of deep implications. Herzog's expertise at constructing a visual story is definitely on display here. Still, this is a very slight work so it's hard to really say I loved it.

Victor Erice's, Wim Wender's and Kaige Chen's segments are good.
