Tell It Like a Woman

Shorts ranging from awful to pretty decent. The song that was somehow nominated is one of the worst things about this.

Meandering, unfocused anthology film struggles to find a unifying theme (outside of abstract consideration of women struggling with societal problems); the performers can't be faulted (Hudson is especially effective) but common to all of the stories, they seem to be picking up a head of steam before petering out to nothing, making each one a frustrating experience. Best (and most chilling) segment features Buy as a vet, but even this one is underdeveloped as almost a shaggy dog tale.

Series of short stories about people with problems and how to deal with it. Most if the issues here are not gender exclusive, they just choice to make it about gender, speaking strictly from a woman's point of view. A well-meaning project, but it lacks bringing the inspiration to so hard wants to deliver.
