The actresses make it very enjoyable and mostly entertaining, but this is just another by the numbers, clichéd and cheesy dramedy that could have very well been made for TV.

Wonderful step into another time. Charming.

Interesting characters react to a historical setting without much benefit of story. The soundtrack is rote, some of the scenes a bit much, and some interesting or poignant moments.

An interesting twist on the young boy makes good theme. Great performances from Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Cher. The pace is a little slow in places and the script could be more crisp but overall a very pleasant and different film.

Was a good film, probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't been tired before watching it. So it seemed really long and a little slow. I liked Judi Dench in this. Have seen a few movies with her in them lately. Very impressive
